Renewable Energy Talks Begins

Kampala, Uganda                                      July 7 & 8, 2015

 

Meetings were held with key staff members of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Development, on consecutive days, to discuss the possible feasibility for renewable energy. Specifically the subject was Solar Power Plants, areas or locations where they may be best needed; and the off or grid options. Details were shared leading to further critical analysis being required, before an definitive decision can be reached.

 

 

Staff members were quite cooperative and open to sharing technical information, mapping, etc. requested. As 21st Century Developers, would be looking to partner and provide power to the government under the terms of an, yet to be discussed or negotiated, PPA (power purchase agreement)  there is still much work ahead before such a deal can be closed.
